Find the right monitor arm

4 questions. We narrow down what fits your setup, not the other way around.

Question 1 of 4

How many screens do you want to mount?

Question 2 of 4

The real weight of your screen, without the stand?

Screen size in inches says nothing about weight — check your monitor's spec sheet if you're not sure.

Question 3 of 4

Your screen's VESA standard?

Listed on the back of the screen or in its spec sheet — the spacing between the mounting holes.

Question 4 of 4

Your desk edge is more

The monitor arm matched to your screen's real weight

A monitor arm takes the stand off your desk and positions the screen at eye level, adjustable through its full range. The mechanism quality separates an arm that holds position for years from one that loses tension within months.

Screen size in inches says nothing about actual weight supported. A 27" monitor weighs 5 to 7 kg without its stand, depending on the panel — that number, not the diagonal, determines arm compatibility.

Two mechanisms, two behaviors over time

A gas spring delivers smooth motion right out of the box, but loses pressure gradually over several years. A constant-force spring mechanism, a steel band rather than a pressurized cylinder, holds its tension longer. Each product page states which mechanism is used.

Mounting and desk compatibility

Clamp mounting needs solid material at the desk edge, typically around 3 cm minimum. A hollow laminate desk or one with a crossbeam near the edge may not work with every clamp. A grommet mount is an alternative when an existing or drillable hole is available.

VESA standard and arm material

The VESA standard, 75×75 or 100×100mm, is the spacing between the mounting holes on the back of the screen. The arm is steel or aluminum across its load-bearing parts — plastic in that structure is a sign of medium-term fragility.

What each product page lists

The exact weight range, compatible VESA standard, required desk thickness, mechanism used, and arm material.
